Have you ever seen a brilliant idea on Twitter (or X, as it’s now called) and thought, "This could be so much more"? Well, that's my experience with the "Billionaire Council Simulation" prompt. It was such a clever concept, asking us to imagine receiving counsel from a ridiculously wealthy panel of actual billionaires, like Elon Musk, Sarah Blakely, Jeff Bezos and Warren Buffett.
I thought, why visualize this when we could bring it to reality?
I chose to make this static prompt a dynamic, interactive application that runs in Tana. The outcome? A business tool that not only offers considered responses but also serves up essentially "deeply actionable" business answers. These answers are potent in the same way as the earth beneath an erupting volcano. They do not come in the all-of-a-sudden variety but rather in a manner sufficient to constitute the basis for doing something volcanic in business.
I will guide you through the step-by-step process of building this tool. The step-by-step lowdown on Tana and its application in this instance will give you a clear picture of the unfolding events, and you might even attempt to replicate them yourself.
Discovering the Prompt
All it took for it to all start was a simple scroll through Twitter. I happened upon a post by "God of Prompt" that kicked off the concept of a "Billionaire Council Simulation." The premise was captivating: you would feed detailed information about your business into the AI, and it would return simulated advice from a panel of billionaires.
The concept I adored, but soon its constraints dawned on me. Executing the prompt as is in tools like ChatGPT or Grok yielded some insights, yet they felt very much like the proverbial tip of the iceberg. If I were to sit before five billionaires, I’d want to pry from them every last drop of rich well water that constitutes the wisdom in their noggins, right? Well, this idea hit me: I could knuckle down and use Tana to render this into something way more powerful.
Importing the Prompt into Tana
The first step was straightforward. Using my phone, I uploaded the Tweet straight into Tana with the share button and Andre Foeken's Extract x posts SuperTag. Once in Tana, I labeled it as an "AI Prompt" to maintain organization.
Why assign a tag? Tana makes it easy to monitor and manage prompts. Keeping an eye on prompts in ChatGPT is like trying to keep an eye on a bunch of fireworks. Of course, some might argue that Tana isn't needed for managing prompts and that it's feasible to just use Google Docs. These folks would be wrong.
Creating a SuperTag in Tana
After that, I made a "SuperTag" in Tana, that I refer to as the "Billionaire Board."
Think of a SuperTag as a template that can be customized to any degree necessary. SuperTags can do more than just organize data. They can structure it in a way that makes it usable for your particular use case.
This SuperTag is fundamentally an outline for the ultra-wealthy.
Magic doesn't happen here. That's why I broke the original prompt using the SuperTag. I am feeding the AI in structured form with my business concept, details about the customer, the revenue model, and the current challenges. I am not just dumping all the information into the AI at once.
Why is this important? Imagine having a conversation with someone who talks non-stop for 20 minutes. You probably wouldn't retain half of what they said, right? AI functions in a similar way. When you feed it information in well-sized chunks, it becomes more individualized and more comprehendible to the AI engine.
Understanding the Prompt’s Functionality
Before embarking on the path of customization, I attempted to grasp the original guidance of the prompt. The "Billionaire Council Simulation" instructed the AI to take on the personalities of five distinct billionaires and to deliver counsel on a wide array of business-related problems. These included such things as: predicting what a business was likely to do if it took a certain path that was likeliest not to lead to a strong, successful outcome (business failure diagnosis, a.k.a. in my book, the kind of path to recommend if you want to guarantee that a business does not succeed); and what kind of advice to give a business so that it would definitely succeed (business success advice, the kind of which, if it were to happen, would be irresistible not to call a "success accelerator").
What I really wanted, then, was a solid concept with more depth and flexibility. I wanted to be able to substitute in billionaires that are more relevant to my world for the ones in the original bit. And as a coach and consultant who works in the space of personal development and business growth, I can't say that I'm particularly impressed with Warren Buffett. He's certainly a smart guy and has great ideas, but for the kind of work that I do, I find Tony Robbins or Grant Cardone much more pertinent. So, I kind of built the SuperTag to allow for that.
Testing the Prompt in Grok
I studied the prompt in Grok to understand how well it worked when used in just this way. Its performance, as shown by the results, was not anything to write home about.
For example, consider the time I asked Elon Musk for his instinctive take on my business. He sent back a sentence: "Intriguing, but it’s not ambitious enough yet. You’re playing in a small sandbox when you could be building a rocket to Mars." Was this useful? Sure. Was it deep, actionable advice? Not in my book, because to me, it wasn't quite what you might call significant-forward-moving advice.
This proved what I had already suspected: the prompt was in need of revisions before it could reach its full potential.
Enhancing the Prompt with Structured Data
This is where the excitement happened. I took apart the prompt, section by section, each of which zeroed in on a distinct facet of business. I fed this clear, direct info into the AI, and a much fatter set of answers came out. Instead of offering up a thin set of vague, one-line zingers, the billionaires coughed up a set of super-detailed, super-rich, and even industry-specific insights.
Configuring the SuperTag for Customization
One of the most captivating aspects of the Billionaire Board SuperTag is its adaptability. I designed it so that users could seamlessly substitute different billionaires—or insert their own.
For example, I replaced Warren Buffett with Tony Robbins in my version. All I had to do was provide the AI with a bit of detail about Tony's character and the domain in which he works, and it skillfully integrated him into the fabricated scene.
We provide a broad selection of customization options. As a coach, consultant, or entrepreneur, you have the ability to modify the app’s settings to meet your precise specifications.
Implementing the Prompt for Business Insights
After the SuperTag was set up, I ran the simulation using my own business as a test case. The results were simply mind-blowing.
Every billionaire provided me with thorough critiques of my enterprise, not holding back on their appraisals of its kinds of virtues, vices, and prospects. To take just one example, Elon Musk told me I should embed an ultra-advanced, GPT-like personal avatar that could coach 24/7. Sarah Blakely really hammered home the kind of importance that storytelling has in marketing.
They weren’t merely ideas taken from thin air; they were insights I could use right away. Watch the full video to see what I mean.
Utilizing Tana for Business Strategy
I love Tana for how it fits into my overall business strategy. It was the perfect place to tag and organize the insights I got from the simulation. I used Tana's search nodes to do just that.
For example, I labeled Elon’s idea about a personal avatar as a "#project," and Sarah’s counsel on storytelling as a "#idea." In this way, I can easily oversee and rank these ideas as I move along.
Engaging with the AI Board
The final move was to deepen the engagement with the AI board. With Tana's chat feature, I was then able to to pose follow-up questions and elicit even more detailed responses.
For example, I asked the board for help in spelling out my basic value proposition. Each of the billionaires gave their take, and the AI condensed their contributions into a unified articulation.
What makes this app truly resemble a brainstorming session is that you can interact with it—meaningfully, just as you would with a team of specialists. You can push and pull its content, and it pushes and pulls back, however you want to think of it, in a way that makes digital content feel alive.
